Is FCMPASS free?
FCMPASS is free for academic users at authorized, accredited, degree-granting institutions. If your use case involves commercial work, fee-for-service, or industrial collaboration, a paid commercial license is required. See our pricing page for details.
What cytometers are supported?
FCMPASS supports instruments from Agilent, Beckman Coulter, Waters (formerly Becton Dickinson), Cytek Biosciences, nanofcm, Sony Biosciences, and ThermoFisher Scientific. See the full cytometer list for specific models. If your cytometer is missing, email info@fcmpass.com with an example .fcs file and we'll add support.
What operating systems are supported?
- Windows: Windows 10 (21H2+) and Windows 11
- macOS: macOS Monterey (12.6) through macOS Sonoma (14), Apple Silicon (M-series) only

How do I install FCMPASS on macOS?
macOS may block the installer because it is not yet signed with an Apple Developer certificate. You can resolve this by running a single terminal command to remove the quarantine flag. See the installation guide for step-by-step instructions.
My institutional email address is not recognized. What do I do?
You can check whether your email domain is recognized at check.fcmpass.com. If it is not listed, contact info@fcmpass.com and we will review your institution for inclusion.
How long does a license last?
All licenses — academic and commercial — are valid for one year from the date of activation and can be renewed. Demo licenses are valid for 30 days.
Can I use FCMPASS for commercial work?
Yes, with a paid commercial license. Academic (free) licenses may not be used for commercial R&D, fee-for-service work, or industrial collaborations where outputs are shared with commercial entities. Visit our pricing page for details.
How many computers can I install FCMPASS on?
Academic licenses allow installation on up to 2 computers, provided the software is only used on one at a time. Paid licenses allow installation on 1 computer, but can be deactivated and transferred to a different computer once per license term.
How do I purchase a commercial license?
Please contact sales@fcmpass.com to purchase a commercial license.
Where can I manage my account and license?
Your account and license can be managed at license.fcmpass.com using your registered credentials.
I didn't receive my license key email. What should I do?
Check your Junk/Spam folder for an email from info@fcmpass.com. If it's not there, contact info@fcmpass.com for assistance.
